How to Use a USB Drive or SD Card with Your Eptusmey Frame?

Import Photos from an SD Card or USB Drive

Step 1: Insert Your Storage Device

Insert your SD card or USB flash drive into the corresponding port on your Eptusmey Frameo digital frame.

Step 2: Open Photo Management

On the frame:

Settings → Manage Photos → Import Photos

The frame will automatically scan the connected device and display available photos.

Step 3: Select Photos

Choose the photos you would like to import.

Tip: Use the Select All icon in the top-right corner to quickly select or deselect all photos.

Step 4: Start Importing

Tap the Import icon in the upper-right corner.

The selected photos will be copied into the frame's internal storage.

Step 5: Remove the Storage Device

Once the import is complete, you may safely remove the SD card or USB drive.

Your photos will remain stored on the frame and continue to appear in slideshows even after the external storage is removed.

Play Photos Directly from External Storage

If you prefer not to use the frame's internal memory, you can display photos directly from an SD card or USB drive.

To Enable:

Settings → Manage Photos → Play from external storage

When enabled, the frame will read and display photos directly from the connected storage device.

Important: The SD card or USB drive must remain connected while photos are being displayed.

Transfer Photos from a Computer via USB Cable (Windows / Linux only)

You can also transfer photos directly from a Windows PC using a USB cable.

Step 1: Connect the Frame

Use a USB cable to connect your Eptusmey Frameo frame to your computer.

Step 2: Enable Computer Transfer Mode

On the frame:

Settings → Manage Photos → Transfer from computer

Turn the feature ON.

Step 3: Copy Photos

Your computer will recognize the frame as a removable storage device.

Open File Explorer and drag your photos into the frame's storage folder ("DCIM" folder).

Step 4: Safely Disconnect

Wait until all files have finished copying before disconnecting the cable.

Note: the computer transfer function only supports Windows and Linux systems, not Apple computer MacOS systems. If you experience connection issues, we recommend using an SD card or USB flash drive instead.

Troubleshooting

My Frame Doesn't Detect the SD Card or USB Drive

Try the following:

  • Reinsert the storage device

  • Verify the device is formatted as FAT32 or exFAT

  • Use a different USB drive or SD card

  • Restart the frame and try again

My Photos Don't Appear

Please check that:

  • The files are JPG, JPEG, or PNG format

  • The photos are not corrupted

  • The storage device was safely removed from the computer before use

Can I Leave the SD Card or USB Drive Connected Permanently?

Yes.

If you're using External Storage Playback, the storage device can remain connected continuously.

If you've already imported the photos into the frame's internal storage, you may remove the device after the import is complete.
